SUP in a Bag uses multiple amazing locations across mid Cornwall.  This enables you to choose the type of experience that suits you and your group.  Each location has been chosen because it provides a stunning backdrop to a variety of paddles.  There are calm ad more challenging SUP conditions available.

THE GANNEL ESTUARY, NEWQUAY

Beginner - Family SUP Fun

At high tide a large sheltered saltwater lake is formed, providing a unique habitat for local wildlife and a stunning backdrop.  A perfect spot for beginners and family SUP Fun, paddling towards the sea, crabs and shoals of fish pass under you and suddenly the view opens up as you reach Crantock Beach.  

 
Fal-SUP-Cornwall

RIVER FAL, TRURO & FALMOUTH

All Abilities - Family SUP Fun

Catch the tides and an enjoy a trip down the Fal passing stately homes, thatched Cornish Cottages, shoaling fish and kingfishers on this beautiful tree lined River. The River is always busy with commercial and recreational activity and there are lots of launch sites with a wide variety of paddles.  The Fal is great for all abilities and Family SUP Fun.

PORTMELLON, NR ST AUSTELL

All Abilities 

Portmellon is a quiet extremely tidal cove just south of Mevagissey in St Austell Bay.  The coastline hosts many small inaccessible beaches, small caves, rocky outcrops and it is rich in wildlife including seals. Portmellon is great for beginners in calm conditions & experienced SUPer's.

PORTHALLOW ON THE LIZARD 

All Abilities

The east shores of Lizard are protected from the swell, and so popular with divers because of the crystal clear waters and variety of sea life.  Falmouth Bay provides a backdrop and there are views south to the Manacles, home to more than 100 shipwrecks.  

 

the RosELAND  

Is a quiet stretch of coastline which is sheltered from the atlantic swell.  There is a variety of launch sites and experiences mainly for paddlers with some experience depending on the conditions.   

 

PORTREATH & St Agnes

Experienced SUP'er (unless exceptionally Calm)

Located on the North Coast Portreath hosts a spectacular and dramatic stretch of coastline, with caves, rock gardens and remote beaches.  We regularly see seals on this trip and visit Ralph's cupboard a collapsed cave.  Only available in calm conditions, particularly for those with experience.
