Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard Holiday

Two Day Breaks

Weekend & Weekdays

A memorable adventure

Aimed at Beginner and Novice SUPers wishing to develop their skills while exploring Cornwall.

Accommodation options Camping or B&B

The focus is on fun, relaxed and sociable exploration of Cornwall’s waterways. We are so lucky that we paddle in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
— Amanda - Founder SUP in a Bag

Based on the Roseland & The Lizard

We use two different locations, both offer access to sheltered coastline and Rivers.

A weekend of escapism, enjoy Cornwall, discover secret coves, wildlife spotting and hang out with some great people.

Every weekend is different, paddle days will be planned to find the best possible journey in the given conditions.  All involve a sheltered route with far reaching views, a high chance of seeing seals, features such as rocky outcrops and caves to explore and there's always somewhere stunning to take a break.

By the end of the weekend you will be:-

  • confidently standing on the board even in choppy conditions

  • understand the principle of effective forward paddling, the stages of the stroke, body position and accessing different muscle groups.

  • able to turn the board using 3 different strokes

  • aware of the issues of paddling into the wind

  • aware of the safety considerations for SUP both general and location specific, and experienced self rescue techniques

We work with friendly accommodation partners a little off the beaten track each offering something unique.
