Seal Encounter - Seal Grabs a Leash

It's always a privilege to spot a seal, behaving naturally in their own environment, moving effortlessly.  It's even more special when these wild animals are curious and playful, investigating us on Stand Up Paddle Board Tours.  This one may have crossed the line a little when it grabbed my leash and in this video looks like it wanted a taste of this one too.

If you are interested in seal spotting by SUP and joining one of our SUP Tours find out more here.

Hanging out with Seals on a Cornwall SUP Tour

We saw 4 seals on a recent SUP Tour from Portreath.  This one took a particular interest in us and seemed to just hang out.

SUP in a Bag follows good practice in wildlife watching and reports all seal sightings to aid research into and the conservation of seals in Cornwall.   If you want to know more about seals or wish to support their conservation visit The Cornwall Seal Group

A fishy encounter

Here's some pics that don't quite capture the moment and you need sound.

On our Porthtowan to Portreath there was a shoal of fish, probably Mackerel, visible at the surface.  Then suddenly it raced passed me creating an arrow head formation, I can only assume they were chased by the Grey Seal which we saw nearby.
